Walking meditation is a great way to bring your mindfulness practice into the world.
Walking meditation is designed to bring our body and mind in sync while we’re out and about, and if you find sitting to meditate difficult, then this is a really great alternative that still trains the mind in awareness.
Whilst walking, we are remaining fully present with what’s going on around us, at a pace that suits us and our attention is on the environment around us. I suggest walking somewhere you know well, perhaps in a park or green space, but this works well in urban landscapes too.
